Who we are

Mercy Home Ministries is a one-year residential discipleship program that provides a safe place for women from all walks of life whose futures are uncertain due to previous destructive behaviors, having recently experienced some type of traumatic life change. Some of the women are referred to Mercy Home from local agencies. Women's struggles range from incarceration, abusive relationships, homelessness, and addiction. Most of the time, these women have lost everything including jobs, homes, and family relationships.

Through our program centered around a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the women are nurtured with love and activities encouraging positive life choices and self-worth. They are provided with daily Biblical principles and education in areas that promote life-long independence. The ladies blossom into empowered women of God with new hope for their futures.

how we started

Mercy Home Ministries was birthed from a vision, given by God, to Pastor Rickey Bell, back in1992. Part of that vision was to be a spiritual hospital to the bruised and abused. From that vision, in 2012, we broke ground to build a small apartment attached to the side of the church. In 2013 we had our first group of girls.

We always wanted had a desired to have a home not attached to the church but to itself. And in 2016, the Lord blessed us with a two-story house on five acres with a pond located just down the road from the church! It was perfect to make this house a home for seven girls and Ms. Cathy Bryant, the house momma. All the girls that go through this ministry say that a huge part of what makes this ministry different is that it’s a HOME full of LOVE. They say when you walk in, you walk into the open arms of a loving family that become your family forever.

Our Mission

It is our goal to reclaim, redeem and restore lives that have been disrupted and destroyed by the controlling cycles of addiction, violence, and poverty by establishing three essential values:

  1. Commitment to Christ

  2. Restoration of the family

  3. Positive work ethic
